The current influenza A (H1N1) virus outbreak differs from other types of influenza [flu] viruses because this virus allows it to spread from person to person- even to people who are not in contact with pigs.
Symptons of influenza A (H1N1) virus are like regular flu symptoms and include fever (higher than 38 degC), cough , sore throat, runny nose, body aches, heqdaches, chills, and fatigue. Diarrhoea and vomiting have also been reported by people infected with influenza A (H1N1) virus.
Most people who are down with common flu virses have at least two out of all listed symptoms. This means that if you have some of the above mentioned symptoms, it does not mean that you are infected with influenza A (H1N1) viruses.
Only a laboratory test can determine whether you are infected with the influenza A (H1N1) virus or other types of influenza viruses.

1. First, build up our immune system to fight against this infection.
